Hi! I’m Marina.
I am a native Greek speaker and the creator of Learning Greek. I am also certified by Panteion University to teach Greek as a second or foreign language.
I love how language connects people from all over the world. But I also know that Greek can feel like a big, scary mountain to climb! That is why I started this blog.
My Mission: Greek Made Simple
I created learninggreek.net to turn that scary mountain into a fun walk on a Greek beach.
– No boring grammar walls.
– No confusing textbook rules.
– Just simple, playful lessons.
Whether you are planning a trip to the islands, reconnecting with your Greek roots, or you just love how our language sounds, I am here to help you. My lessons are written in plain English so that everyone, everywhere, can feel confident speaking and understanding Greek—one small step at a time.
Why learn with me?
When you read my articles, you aren’t just reading a book. You are learning from a local who loves her culture. I share the real phrases we use in Greece, plus the cultural secrets that make our language so special.
Ready to start?
If you’re new here, I recommend starting with my
Beginner’s Guide.
If you’d like to take things further and practice Greek in real-life situations in Athens, I’ve put together a small experience for that. You can find it here: Practice Greek in Athens.
And if you ever have a question or just want to say “Yassas!”, feel free to reach out through my Contact page.
Thanks for being here and for learning Greek with me!
